Courteney Cox

Courteney Cox is the American actor, director, and producer. She is best known for her part in the TV show "Friends" and for her role in her main characters in the "Scream" movie franchise. She was born in Birmingham, Alabama and developed an interest in acting when she was when she was a child. She enrolled to study the field of architecture at Mount Vernon College in Washington, DC However, she ultimately left school to pursue an acting profession. She made her film debut in the role in 'Down Twisted'. She started gaining notoriety after appearing in one of the most important characters in the horror-slasher film 'Scream'. The film was extremely profitable commercially, and it earned eleven times its budget. The film was also praised by the reviewers. She reprised her role in all the three sequels from the original film. Her popularity reached levels never before after she was cast in the main character in the cult sitcom "Friends". She received several nominations and awards for her performances. The show that was a massive success, ran for 10 years. Recent projects include a supporting role in the drama film "Mothers and Daughters'. A few of the prizes she won include those of the TV Guide Award to honor the performance she made in "Friends," and the Golden Derby Award for her part in the TV series "Cougar Town".
